Justin Timberlake returns to ‘SNL’; joins Jimmy Fallon for a week

Justin Timberlake is heading back to “Saturday Night Live” to perform and host for the fifth time!

Mother lovers, rejoice!

The singer-actor will appear on “SNL” on March 9, he confirmed on his Stipple page Thursday. Timberlake has been a crowd-pleasing and critical favorite on the sketch show and even won four Primetime Emmys for his previous runs. He’s also cameoed in some of Andy Samberg’s Lonely Island shorts. “... in a box,” anyone?

Following his “SNL” appearance, the crooner will do a full week’s worth of performances and “chatting” with Jimmy Fallon on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” during the week of March 11 to 15. Might we see another history of rap on the show? We’ll have to wait and see.

“His visit will mark the first time any featured artist has appeared in every show during a single week!” he said.

These appearances all lead up to the release of his latest solo album, “The 20/20 Experience,” dropping March 19 after Timberlake’s hiatus from music since 2006 to focus on his acting career.

The former NSYNC frontman made his highly anticipated return to the Grammy Awards stage earlier this month with Jay-Z, who is featured on Timberlake’s comeback single “Suit & Tie.” The two are reportedly in talks to co-headline a stadium tour this summer, according to Pop & Hiss.

Shortly after the Grammys, he released “Mirrors,” another song from the album, and then performed the single for eager fans at the Brit Awards in London on Wednesday.

Timberlake married longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel in Italy in October 2012 and we get a glimpse of their wedded bliss in his “Suit & Tie” music video when she pops up to light his cigarette.
