WESTWOOD, CA - SEPTEMBER 10, 2024 - Isabel Janken, 96, sits in the living room of her new ADU in Westwood on September 10, 2024. Janken used to live in the duplex and now lives in an assisted living facility. The ADU is in the rear of an existing rented duplex where architect Melissa Shin demolished the garage, then built the new ADU atop a new 3-car garage and a private rooftop with panoramic views.
