Osbourne saga continues as Kelly tweets phone number of dad Ozzy’s alleged mistress
The Osbourne family saga turned even more toxic this week when Kelly Osbourne responded to her parents’ marital woes by sharing the phone number of her father Ozzy’s alleged mistress with all of Twitter.
Alongside the number, the lavender-haired television personality shared a few choice words about the types of “services” offered by the woman in question, said to be a celebrity hairstylist who worked with the Black Sabbath frontman.
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Talk,” Sharon Osbourne, 63, shared her support of her daughter, praising her sense of humor and saying, “She loves her mum and dad so much .... What are you going to do, be angry with her because she wants us to be together?”
Osbourne added as a stinger, “She can do what she wants. She’s an adult.”
The latest strife in the Osbourne marriage began several weeks ago when rumors arose that Ozzy, 67, had been kicked out of their home for his involvement in an extramarital affair.
After taking a day off from “The Talk” on May 9, Sharon returned to work and confirmed that her husband had been removed from the house, but had since returned. She moved out at the time.
“I don’t now where I’m going, who I’m going with, and I just need time to think,” Osbourne said then of the separation from her husband.
The Osbournes have had a volatile relationship throughout their 34-year marriage, fueled throughout much of the ‘80s by drug and alcohol abuse, leading to an incident in 1989 during which an intoxicated Osbourne attempted to strangle his wife. Sharon opted not to press charges and Ozzy entered rehab for three months.
Ozzy has struggled with drugs -- recreational and otherwise -- throughout his life and told The Times in 2003 that his doctor had overprescribed medication for him.
“I couldn’t talk. I couldn’t walk. I could barely stand up. I was lumbering about like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It got to the point where I was scared to close my eyes at night -- afraid I might not wake up,” Osbourne stated.
And while addiction may have contributed to the couple’s 2013 separation, in which Ozzy admitted to having fallen off the wagon, he reported to E! News on May 9 that he had been sober now for over three years.
Despite their separation, the pair have continued their business dealings (Sharon has served as Ozzy’s manager since 1979), announcing May 12 that Ozzfest would be joining forces with Slipknot’s Knotfest to create a single festival.
As for Kelly Osbourne, 31, it would appear she stands by her tweet, which has yet to be deleted, even going so far as to allege that her father’s alleged mistress was taking advantage of him during a tweet exchange with a Twitter user.
“My father is almost 70,” Osbourne tweeted, “Ever heard of elder abuse?”
