Sharon Osbourne confirms her split with Ozzy: ‘I can’t keep living like this’
OK, here’s the deal with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s separation, straight from Sharon herself: She did kick him out of the house. He has since come back. She, however, has moved out.
Osbourne took some time Tuesday on “The Talk” to address the drama she’s faced in the last three days, both in her marriage and in the media.
“I’ve been avoiding looking at any pictures or reading anything,” she said. “I know what’s going on. I don’t need to read about it and see about it because it’s like putting salt in a wound. I don’t need to.”
After taking Monday off, Osbourne walked on camera holding a glass of lemonade — presumably a reference to Beyoncé’s “Sorry” track, which concerned a cheating husband. It was definitely something her cohosts made sure everyone noticed.
The women devoted the entire first segment of the show to Osbourne, asking her about how she was in the wake of rumors that her husband had an affair with a hairstylist. Though she appeared emotional, she kept it under control.
“I’m not going to cry about anything,” she said, “because there’s nothing to cry about.”
Mrs. Ozzy said she needs some time alone to figure out what she wants and what she’s going to do next. But she said she can handle whatever comes.
“It’s right for me because I honestly, at this point, today, have no idea what I’m going to be doing with the rest of my life,” Osbourne said. “I don’t now where I’m going, who I’m going with, and I just need time to think. And really think about what do I really want with the rest of my life. Because this is, like, getting to the last chapter of this book.”
The Osbournes are still talking, she said, as recently as Monday night. “I love Ozzy dearly,” she said. “He’s given me an unbelievable life, he’s given me three gorgeous children. I love him.”
So she’s not closing the door entirely on staying in her marriage of nearly 34 years, but she said she hasn’t a clue about what will happen next.
As for Ozzy, the Prince of Darkness told E! News on Monday that he was still sober since the 2013 episode that also saw the couple living separately for a while. They got back together that time, but this time it might be different.
“I’m 63 years of age,” Sharon Osbourne said, “and I can’t keep living like this.”
