Anna Faris addresses Chris Pratt cheating rumors: ‘For us it was like, “What the heck?’’’
Anna Faris has spoken out about the recent cheating rumors plaguing her marriage to “Jurassic World” actor Chris Pratt, calling the tabloid reports “a little devastating.”
The “Mom” star, who’s been married to the “Parks and Recreation” alum for six years, saw their union become tabloid fodder in July when Star magazine alleged she was concerned her mega-star husband would cheat on her with his “Passengers” costar (and fellow goofball) Jennifer Lawrence.
There was no truth to the rumors, but the 38-year-old was still thrown by the reports.
“For us it was like, ‘What the heck?’” Faris told Fox411. “This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging.”
The Star report “stung a little bit harder” than Faris anticipated because she always thought there was “a kernel of truth” to celebrity rumors.
“I have always kind of believed that part of the rumors of celebrity couples were sort of true — because they had never been a part of my life,” she said.
The ultra-cute couple met in 2007 while starring in the comedy “Take Me Home Tonight,” which wasn’t released until 2011. They wed in Bali in July 2009, then welcomed son Jack nine weeks early in August 2012.
Faris added that she considers herself lucky to be in a relationship in which they “both value family.”
In February, the actress told Redbook that Jack’s premature birth helped her and Pratt forge a deeper connection.
“It’s one of those things that drives you apart or makes you closer,” she told the mag. “I think that being a father is very meaningful and rewarding to Chris. He’s a great dad. He’s a little more serious than he was before. It forces your hand. You really have to become an adult.”
