‘Home Improvement’s’ Zachery Ty Bryan looks to part with his Glendale home
It’s a good week for fans of both real estate and the ’90s sitcom “Home Improvement.
Tim Allen, who starred as Tim “the Tool Man” Taylor on the series sold his home in Hollywood Hills West for about $1.755 million. Now Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role as oldest son Brad on the show, has a home in Glendale on the market for $1.38 million.
Set behind gates in the San Rafael Estates community, the 1960s ranch house is tucked away on a secluded lot of about an acre. The lofted setting looks out on city lights and mountains.
The single-story house centers on a living room with a fireplace and walls of windows and glass doors. The master suite has bay windows with a view of the patio and swimming pool. A formal dining room, an eat-in kitchen with Spanish-tiled counter tops, three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms are within the 2,538 square feet of living space.
Outdoors, there’s a view deck, a built-in barbecue, a fire pit and a circular spa set within brick. A three-car garage and motor court sit off the home’s front entrance.
Jenny Bryan of HK Lane Real Estate holds the listing.
Bryan, 34, was a fixture on “Home Improvement” during its eight-season run. Since then he’s appeared on such shows as “Boston Public,” “Center of the Universe” and “Veronica Mars.”
He bought the house in 2001 for $690,000 records show.
