‘Tool Man’ Tim Allen cuts loose of Hollywood Hills West home
Actor and comedian Tim Allen, known for his role as Tim ‘the Tool Man’ Taylor on the ‘90s sitcom “Home Improvement,” has sold a home in Hollywood Hills West for about $1.755 million.
Built in 1963, the ranch-style house features an open floor plan with a formal living room, a family/dining room area and a chef’s kitchen with enough seating for the entire Taylor clan plus Wilson. Vermont pine floors, rock accents and a stone fireplace lend a rustic, perhaps even manly, vibe to the 2,604 square feet of living space.
The master suite has an oversized spa and a steam shower for a total of three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
French doors open to a deck with an al fresco dining area. A fire pit, an outdoor shower and a blanket of pine trees also reside on the roughly one-third-acre of grounds.
Allen paid $1.4 million for the property two years ago, records show. The exact sale price was $1,755,225, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
Dan Bozick of Nourmand & Associates was the listing agent. Farhad Farman-Farmaian of Compass represented the buyer.
Allen, 62, currently stars on ABC’s “Last Man Standing,” now in its sixth season. His other credits include “The Santa Clause” films and “Joe Somebody.” He was the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the “Toy Story” series.
