The one-time Bel-Air home of late St. Louis Rams majority owner Georgia Frontiere that sold in March for $38 million only to come back on the market in May for $45 million is now available for lease at $250,000 a month. That’s about half the median price of a single-family home in Los Angeles County.

The walled and gated estate, designed by Paul R. Williams in 1931 and rebuilt in 2007, centers on a Spanish Colonial Revival-style home with 17,700 square feet of living space on two stories.

Bright accent tile, beamed ceilings and wrought-iron details, signatures of the architect’s early technique, feature prominently throughout the mansion, which has 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms.

Among amenities is a home theater, a library, a billiards room, an art studio, a gym and a wine cellar. The master suite has one of the home’s eight fireplaces as well as a private patio and garden.

Centered on a courtyard with a fountain feature, manicured grounds include a guesthouse, a tennis court, a swimming pool and a secluded tea house on about two acres. Two motor courts with parking for as many as 40 vehicles sit at the entrance to the home.

Frontiere bought the property in 1977 for $760,000 and sold it in 2005 for about $9 million, according to The Times. Since then, the estate has changed hands multiple times, selling in 2007 for $27.5 million, in 2010 for $18 million, in 2011 for $19.15 million and earlier this year for $38 million.

In addition to the lease price, the home is also listed for sale at $39 million.

Jeff Hyland of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, is the listing agent.

Frontiere, who died at 80 in 2008, inherited a majority share of the team from sixth husband Carroll Rosenbloom following his death in 1979. She moved the team from Los Angeles to Anaheim the following year and in 1995 relocated the franchise to her native St. Louis.
