Samsung to unveil flexible display technology at CES
Samsung is set to show off its flexible displays next month at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Interest in the bendable display screens grew after it was reported this year the company hopes to launch some smartphones using the technology as soon as the first half of 2013.
Now CNET is reporting Samsung Display, a unit of Samsung, will be at CES with the technology.
On display will be a 5.5-inch flexible screen with a high 1,280-by-720 HD resolution and 267 pixels per inch density.
The bendable displays are rumored to be made of plastic and as such, some have said they will make future smartphones more durable.
Samsung will use the technology on its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S IV, some reports say.
