Samsung’s rumored flagship phone, the Galaxy S IV, may feature a new technology that will make its screen “unbreakable.”

A Reuters report citing unnamed sources includes several details about what to expect on the next major Samsung release, and chief among them is the possible inclusion of a plastic OLED display. The plastic screen, which would replace the current glass display used for the Galaxy S III, is touted as being unbreakable.

We heard about the unbreakable, plastic Samsung screen last month in a Wall Street Journal report that also said the new displays could make them foldable. Reuters says the unbreakable screens could be the key selling point for the GS4.

But besides being unbreakable, the report also says the Galaxy S IV’s displays will be even bigger than the GS3’s 4.8-inch screen. Additionally, Reuters says the displays will be higher resolution than be before.

According to Reuters, the GS4 is also expected to have a quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera.

The report pinpoints the phone’s launch for next April. For reference, the GS3 began to roll out in Europe and other parts of the world this past May.
