Lakers’ Pau Gasol misses shoot-around, doubtful for Tuesday’s game
Pau Gasol missed the Lakers’ shoot-around Tuesday and was considered doubtful for the game against New York.
Gasol was feeling better, Coach Mike D’Antoni said, but probably would be replaced by Chris Kaman in the starting lineup.
Gasol left Sunday’s game against Orlando after feeling dizzy and nauseated in the first half.
“Gary said [Gasol] feels a little bit better,” Lakers Coach Mike D’Antoni said, mentioning longtime team trainer Gary Vitti.
Gasol is averaging 17.5 points and 9.8 rebounds. Kaman is averaging 9.9 points and 5.6 rebounds but hasn’t played since Feb. 25.
Xavier Henry will play despite sustaining a ruptured ligament in his left wrist last Friday against Washington. He will require surgery after the season but plans to play through the discomfort.
Henry is averaging 10.1 points this season.
