Derek Fisher’s team falls at Ball Up Streetball Classic Tour
Two former Lakers faced off as coaches when the Ball Up Streetball Classic Tour hit the Walter Pyramid arena in Long Beach on Saturday.
Five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher, leading the Los Angeles team from the bench, was defeated by Tracy Murray and the Ball Up All-Stars.
Murray, who was a Laker for the 2002-2003 season, got the victory with Ball Up stars such as “The Professor”, “Air Up There” and “Baby Shaq.”
Founded in 2009, Ball Up features some of the nation’s top streetball players, including “AO,” “Bone Collector,” “Sik Wit It” and “Special FX.”
Free agent Gilbert Arenas and Clippers center Ryan Hollins also attended the event but didn’t play.
Fisher recently re-signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder, in what he claims will be his final NBA season.
