Got questions about the 2020 election? We’ll get answers
Elections can be confusing, especially this one. If you have questions about the 2020 election, ask them in the comments below, and we’ll do our best to get you answers.
We’ve already got you covered on how to vote, when to vote, where to vote, what the issues are and even recommendations from our Editorial Board on who to vote for. If you can’t wait for results, read up on the possibilities for how the rest of this week might go.
Post your questions below now. You can ask things like:
- I never received a mail-in ballot. How can I vote? (In California, you can take advantage of same-day registration.)
- What if my usual polling place is closed? (Here’s a map of Southern California vote centers.)
- What do I need to bring with me to vote in person? (It depends on whether you’re registered yet.)
- Will there be long lines? (That will depend on turnout. More than 11 million Californians have already voted. But lines have been long in Georgia, for example.)
We’ll be posting answers as often as we can today.

Tuesday marks the end of a tumultuous Trump and Biden race. It’s unclear when the results will be known.
