Upcoming teacher ratings database
Starting Wednesday, elementary school teachers in the Los Angeles Unified School District will have the opportunity to preview and comment on their value-added scores in The Times’ teacher effectiveness database.
Teachers in the database include about 11,500 who have taught third, fourth and fifth grade over the last seven years, about double the number included in the initial database that launched in August.
Any teacher interested in previewing his or her page in The Times’ database should check back at this web address: latimes.com/teacherresponse. Once previews are available, teachers will be able to search for their name and request their page. Comments submitted by April 14 will be published prior to the wider release to the public.
