Transient sought in death of West Hollywood woman whose body was found in trash bin
Homicide investigators are looking for a 29-year-old transient who they believe killed a woman and left her body in a trash bin in West Hollywood, authorities said Monday.
Abdulla Tario Camran is known to frequent homeless encampments in L.A. and West Hollywood. He is suspected of killing Joie Nicole Kinney, whose body was found July 6 across the street from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies found Kinney’s body in the 8700 block of Beverly Boulevard behind the site of the former Jerry’s Famous Deli.
Kinney’s age and cause of death were not available because of a security hold on her case by the Sheriff’s Department, a coroner’s spokesman said.
Investigators believe the woman frequented the area near the former restaurant, which closed in 2013, investigators told KTLA.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call sheriff’s homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling (800) 222-8477.
