1 killed in possible road rage incident in Panorama City
A man was fatally shot in a possible road rage incident in Panorama City late Sunday, police said.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 8200 block of Willis Avenue about 11:30 p.m., said Los Angeles police Sgt. K. Spencer.
Police said witnesses saw the victim get out of his Mercedes-Benz and approach the driver of another vehicle that had stopped in front of him. He then confronted the driver and shots were fired, Spencer said.
The victim stumbled back to his car and collapsed by the driver’s side door, according to CBS LA.
The victim died on the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.Three people inside the victim’s car were unharmed.
There is no description of the suspect at this time, police said, but the gunman fled in a dark vehicle. The shooting remains under investigation.
