Married couple in Oxnard died in murder-suicide, police say
A married couple found this weekend with fatal gunshot wounds in their Oxnard home died in a murder-suicide, investigators said Monday.
Oxnard police responded to the home in the 5400 block of Barrymore Drive about 4:40 p.m. Saturday, where they found the bodies of Sinia Lemus, 35, and Saul Lemus, 47.
Police initially said the two deaths were being investigated as homicides. Further investigation indicated that Saul Lemus killed his wife before shooting himself, Oxnard police Det. Edgar Fernandez told The Times.

The couple’s two children were at home at the time, Fernandez said.
Neighbor Sedona Carbajal told KTLA-TV Channel 5 that the wife had possibly worked as a nurse.
“They’re nice neighbors,” she told the news outlet.
Ashley Federis, a family friend, told KTLA that one of the two children was set to graduate from high school this month.
