Robin Thicke working to woo back Paula Patton after split

Robin Thicke isn’t quite ready to give up on Paula Patton, if his recent actions are any indication.

The singer, whose separation from his actress wife became public with a joint announcement Monday, expressed his intentions to the crowd at his Thursday concert in Fairfax, Va.

“For y’all that don’t know, me and my wife separated, but I’m trying to get my girl back,” he said on stage. “She’s a good woman.”

Previously, caught on video at Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport, he told a TMZ cameraman that he was “just trying to get her back, man.”

All that’s in line with reports that it was Patton, not Thicke, who drew the line when it came to initiating their split. There are rumors alleging the split was a long time coming, and some saying it came out of the blue. Also being debated: whether Thicke’s MTV Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus or a photo showing him grabbing a fan’s tush while posing for a picture had anything to do with the breakup.

In addition to the public statements, the singer might have taken his case directly to the home front as well. An unknown someone bombarded Patton’s Hollywood Hills home with bouquet after lavish bouquet on Thursday, TMZ reported Friday. The bouquets appeared to be made up primarily of white blossoms, which according to various flower retailers signify innocence, undying love and new beginnings, among other things.

The couple, who first met when they were in their teens, got married in 2005 and have a 3-year-old son, Julian.

The boy was allegedly involved in a minor car crash Thursday along with Patton’s mother and her assistant, who were traveling on Sunset Boulevard in a Range Rover that was being pursued by paparazzi, “Entertainment Tonight” reported. No injuries were reported.
