Kim Kardashian’s $500,000 Vienna ball date reportedly goes awry

A half-million bucks for a date night at a fancy party doesn’t sound like hard work — but Kim Kardashian’s deal to accompany billionaire Richard Lugner to the Vienna Opera Ball in Austria doesn’t seem to have played out very well.

Lugner, who over the years has made a habit of hiring various starlet-types to be his big-bucks arm candy for the annual event, told local reporters before the ball that the reality-TV diva was “annoying,” according to Radar Online.

Mom Kris Jenner and baby North both accompanied Kim to Vienna, where Lugner met them at their private jet upon arrival, complete with flowers. But the all-smiles attitude didn’t last.

“She’s filming [for ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’] and so she doesn’t want to have me around,” the 81-year-old said. “The guest should be with me and not anywhere else that is not agreed upon.”

And that was only what happened on the record before the party.

Kardashian allegedly left the Thursday night event early, TMZ reported, after several uncomfortable encounters, including being approached by a white man in black face who pretended to be Kanye West. Also, according to the site, she told her team that Lugner was trying to get her alone with him, without her security detail.

Previous Lugner dates to the ball have included Nicollette Sheridan in 2009, Dita Von Teese in 2008 and Paris Hilton in 2007. But the worst date? Lindsay Lohan, who failed to show at all in 2010 after missing her flight to Austria. She reportedly missed out on a $150,000 payday too.

Kim’s clan did have at least one souvenir from the evening, however: Kris posted a shot of the ballroom to Instagram — see it below.
