Rachael Leigh Cook is pregnant, expecting baby with Daniel Gillies
Rachael Leigh Cook and Daniel Gillies are having a baby!
The “Perception” actress, who gained recognition in the 1999 rom-com “She’s All That,” is expecting her first child with husband Gillies, Us Weekly reports.
“I’ve been hiding my rapidly growing bump while shooting but this kiddo is vying for screen time,” the actress, 33, told the mag about how she’s tried to hide her baby bump while filming. “We clearly have a future actor on our hands.”

The couple married on Aug. 14, 2004. It will be their first child together. There’s no word on Cook’s due date yet.
As for Gillies, 37, who plays an original vampire, Elijah Mikaelson, in “The Vampire Diaries,” he seems to be keen on the odd celebrity baby name trend.
“A lot of people are asking whether I’d prefer a boy or a girl. In truth, it doesn’t matter to me -- I just can’t wait to meet little Keanu Robocop,” he joked.
The couple actually has another kind of baby on their hands. Gillies’ long-term project, “Broken Kingdom,” is set to premiere May 15 on Showtime. The actor produced and directed the film, which also stars Cook.

He’s also set to star in “The Vampire Diaries” spinoff, “The Originals,” which aired its backdoor pilot episode April 25 on the CW and will get its own pilot on the network this fall, chronicling the ancient vampire families’ doings in the supernatural hotbed of New Orleans. When we last talked to Gillies, “The Originals” had yet to come to fruition, but he said he’d totally be down to do it.
“Every part of that sounds amazing. So I was thrilled by that idea and I’ve said it a multitude of times,” he said. “I mean there is a whole world out there and these guys seem globally threatening. Especially this family.”
