Megan Hilty of ‘Smash’ weds Brian Gallagher at Venetian in Vegas
Megan Hilty has something to sing about! The “Smash” alum is now Mrs. Brian Gallagher!
The “Sean Saves the World” star tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Brian Gallagher in Las Vegas on Saturday, according to the actress.
“I married the love [of] my life tonight at The Venetian Chapel in Las Vegas!!!!!” Hilty tweeted on Saturday night. “#HeLikedItSoHePutaRingOnIt.”
Hilty, 32, and Gallagher, 33, who met at a New York fitness class while they were working on Broadway, wed in an intimate ceremony.
“We were so excited to be married that we skipped the engagement altogether,” the Broadway star told People in a statement.
“We shared a perfect weekend with our family,” the actress told Us Weekly. “To us it’s more about the marriage than the actual wedding, which is why we decided to skip the whole engagement thing. We couldn’t be happier!”
The blond bombshell added that only immediate family was invited and that she and her beau had given them only a week’s notice, so they “didn’t expect anyone to show up since it was so last minute but they did!”
Hilty wore an embellished Badgley Mischka gown for the nuptials and her groom wore a J Lindeberg suit, People reported.
“WE DID IT!!! #justmarried,” Gallagher said, sharing an Instagram shot of himself and his new wife showing off their wedding bands in the chapel — a photo that they promptly turned into their Twitter avatars.
Gallagher, an actor/singer, was beyond excited, adding in a Sunday tweet that he basically had an epic weekend.
“I got married AND the Jets won! It’s been a perfect weekend!!!” the football fan announced.
Congrats!
