Lindsay Lohan racks up $46,350 tab before Chateau asks her to go
Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been banned from the Chateau Marmont over an unpaid bill of nearly $50,000 she ran up during June and July when she was living at the storied hotel.
The general manager of the hotel sent Lohan a letter July 31 noting an unpaid balance of $46,350.04 and requesting that she pack up and leave by Aug. 1. The letter was obtained by TMZ.
Things like restaurant, room service, mini-bar and cigarette charges -- not to mention that “corporate rate” of $615 a night -- piled up over time, as detailed in a 16-page billing statement also dated July 31. The statement also revealed some of her reading preferences: The starlet charged issues of Rolling Stone, Architectural Digest and Bazaar to her tab.
Also on the bill were not one but two iPhone chargers at $40 a pop. We hope she looked for the missing ones under the bed first.
Lohan has had her belongings in storage since moving out of a Venice townhouse in February. At the time, she moved from Venice to the Chateau Marmont, possibly into a freebie room kept by a friend. In June and July, however, she was definitely being charged for her stay.
Until the bill is paid, Lohan is banned from the hotel and its restaurant, according to Gossip Cop, which got a “no comment” from her rep.
“All of this negative press is [bull] .... Whenever I’m doing great, people fabricate lies. It’s such a shame,” Lohan tweeted last week, after rumors bubbled up that she was being sought for questioning in a Hollywood Hills theft. “I’m just sayin’ xo.”
On Tuesday, the police were just sayin’ she was off the hook in that situation.
