Lindsay Lohan off hook as D.A. declines to prosecute theft case
No need to pull those “Free Lindsay Lohan” signs out of storage: The actress is off the hook in a theft case that was pretty much over before it started.
Lohan won’t face charges related to $100,000 in watches and sunglasses that allegedly went missing from a friend’s house during a recent all-night party, as prosecutors declined to file charges after reviewing evidence presented by police, L.A. Now reported Tuesday.
The victim did not want to press charges, prosecutors said, and nobody else was talking.
Add to that the fact that none of the suspects was found in possession of the stolen property, TMZ said.
Lohan and the homeowner, Sam Magid, have a “longstanding relationship” with the understanding that “what’s mine is yours,” according to the website.
