Kristin Cavallari cited in Illinois for driving with California license
Kristin Cavallari was pulled over by police in Illinois on suspicion of speeding and was cited for driving without the state’s driver’s license.
Perhaps she’s taken a page from the DMX driving school?
The “Laguna Hills”/”The Hills” alum was initially stopped Friday by Evanston police officers for allegedly going above the speed limit. When cops realized she didn’t have a valid Illinois license, they cited her and escorted her to a nearby police station in her own car so she could pay the $120 fine that the violation requires, police told TMZ.
Apparently the 26-year-old was driving with a California license and never bothered to get one in the Prairie State because she splits her time between Los Angeles and Chicago. After all, her husband is Jay Cutler, the Chicago Bears quarterback whom she married in June and with whom she has a son named Camden.
“Who knew having a California driver’s license in Illinois was a CRIME to be escorted to the police station to post bail?!! What a morning,” she tweeted following the incident.
“FYI...I still have an apartment in LA so I’m a resident of California,” she added.
Obviously, Evanston police don’t follow her on Twitter.
