Jack Osbourne’s wife Lisa suffers late-term miscarriage
Jack Osbourne and his wife, the former Lisa Stelly, had sad news to announce Thursday: She’d suffered a late miscarriage of the little boy they’d been expecting.
Tweeting “An unfortunate announcement,” Lisa directed followers to her “Raddest Mom” blog, where she and Jack shared the news.
“I have been dreading this announcement. ... I needed some time before being able to say it,” she wrote.
“Jack and I lost our baby boy last week.
“Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through. We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time. It’s important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life’s toughest moments. We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives.”
It was signed by the two of them.
They have a daughter, Pearl, who was born in April 2012.
The couple -- he was named Wednesday as a contestant on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars” -- had just announced they were expecting just a month ago, in early August.
“Jack and I are super excited to share with you all that we are expecting our second baby!” she’d said at the time. “I am in my second trimester, feeling great & trying not to eat everything in sight.”
On Thursday, she struck a much sadder note.
“Cuddling my amazing, sweet hubby & shutting my eyes,” she tweeted late in the evening. “Thank you all for the love & support. It means the world.”
