Johnny Depp, Amber Heard are married, reports say
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are married, according to reports out Wednesday.
The civil ceremony went down at his West Hollywood home, sources told People, E! News and Us Weekly.
Much like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- who got married legally in California before having another ceremony overseas -- Depp and Heard will reportedly be walking down the aisle in style this coming weekend on an island he owns in the Bahamas.
Word of the planned island wedding came via People on Saturday.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor, 51, and his “The Rum Diary” costar, 28, met on set in 2011, started dating in 2012 and got engaged early last year.
There’s one bit of awkwardness heading into the weekend, however: One of the 45-acre island’s six beaches is -- or at least, it was -- named after Depp’s former partner, Vanessa Paradis, with whom he has a son and a daughter. The couple, who never married, split up in 2012 after 14 years together.
Depp was married to makeup artist Lori Allison for a couple of years in the ‘80s. It’s the first marriage for Heard.
Reps for Depp and Heard didn’t respond to requests for comment.
