Showgirl Holly Madison is engaged, shares her 18-carat sparkler
Holly Madison is engaged, and she has a gargantuan ring that says so.
Madison, 31, one of Playboy editor Hugh Hefner’s many ex-girlfriends, who had their relationship chronicled in the E! reality show “The Girls Next Door,” announced the big news on her blog late Monday.
“I got engaged on Sunday!” Madison wrote. “My fiancé was so wonderful in creating such a romantic night!”

Pasquale Rotella proposed to her Sunday while riding the Ferris wheel at Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival. Pasquale is a party promoter and founder of the annual rave.
“I was so happy that so many of our close friends were there to share the wonderful moment with us!” she added. “We rode around the festival on the art car until the sun came up! I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful or magical proposal!”
The couple, dating since 2011, is currently based in Las Vegas where Madison worked in the topless burlesque “Peep Show.” They are already parents to baby girl Rainbow Aurora Rotella, whom they welcomed last March. The pair said they had planned to get married over the summer, and Madison recently told E! News that she already had a venue in mind.

“I have a secret place for the wedding picked out and it’s a place that no one has been married before,” she said.
This will be the first marriage for the Playboy cover girl, who has previously been romantically linked to illusionist Criss Angel and musician Jack Barakat.
And in the manner of all things sparkly, studded and excessive that only come by way of Sin City, her ring features an 18-carat, cushion-cut yellow diamond that is surrounded by pink and yellow diamond flowers. It was designed by Rotella along with celebrity jewelers Layna & Alan Friedman of Beverly Hills.
“My fiancé designed it himself,” she said, “because I told him that’s what would make it most special.”
The sparkler incorporates a bit of personal whimsy as well. (P.S. She was wearing a butterfly costume dress when Rotella proposed, and her daughter is named after a meteorological phenomenon.)
“Because we love owls, there is a hidden owl engraved on the rose gold in between two of the flowers,” she said. “The band is art nouveau-inspired, to go with the flowers.”
In May, Madison told People that she was planning to have more kids and that she and her fiancé would like “a huge family, like a Kardashian-sized family.”
Perhaps “Holly’s World” is ready for that, but the rest of the the world might not be.
[For the record, 9:55 a.m. June 26: This post originally said the ring was designed by Allen Schwartz. The designers were Layna & Alan Friedman.]
