Alison Brie and Dave Franco are engaged (yeah, they’ve been dating for a while)
Alison Brie and Dave Franco are engaged -- despite the fact that she’s currently all about “Sleeping With Other People.”
The “Community” actress, 32, who’s been quietly coupled with Franco, 30, for a few years, flashed her ring Monday night at a screening of “Sleeping,” her comedy costarring Jason Sudeikis.
Yup, Brie’s going to have James Franco as a brother-in-law. We can’t even imagine what that might be like. Never a dull moment when the family gets together for the holidays ...
Dave Franco, who’s currently filming the “Neighbors” sequel that’s due out next year, has reportedly been dating the “Mad Men” actress since January 2012, though the two have kept the relationship mostly under the radar.
They did play a couple in a seriously crude “Funny or Die” video that dropped in April 2013, and were caught funning around together in a photo that was one of the many revealing celebrity snaps stolen and leaked online in late 2014.
Publicly, they sat front-row together at the Dior Homme spring/summer 2016 fashion show in Paris in June.
It was Brie’s first menswear show, the actress told WWD, revealing she and Franco were vacationing and on their way to Italy next. “Mostly, it’s all about restaurants for us,” she said, “so he has planned a lot of different places for us to go -- that’s how we plan our trips.”
The engagement news, including a confirmation from Brie’s rep, was first reported by E! News. “Sleeping With Other People” hits theaters Sept. 11.
