Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover are finally married
Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover are married, 14 months after he was nearly killed in a crash and only a couple of months after he declared his determination to walk her down the aisle, free of a wheelchair or cane.
The couple tied the knot on Sunday night, the Los Angeles Times confirmed. Close family and friends witnessed an intimate ceremony in New Jersey, according to People, which first reported the news. Among those on hand: The couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Maven.
“I had to go hard with the therapy,” the “Saturday Night Live” alum told the magazine in June. “I had to get better. There was no ifs, ands or buts about it.”
Morgan, 46, and Wollover, 28, announced their engagement way back in September 2011. Maven arrived in July 2013, and in June 2014 the actor-comic was involved in a multiple-car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike that left one man dead and Morgan and two others injured.
In July, after a long and difficult rehab, he was spotted driving around New York City again. At the time, he was still getting speech and physical therapy and working with a psychologist after suffering traumatic brain injury.
“After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the love of my life,” Wollover told People.
