Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie launching Miraval wine
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are toasting to their new wine, possibly with the new rosé itself.
The engaged power couple is releasing a vintage pink rosé from their 1,000-acre French estate on March 15 in the United States. It will be the first offering from their vineyard, which they acquired in 2008.
The name of the wine? Miraval, the same name as their Chateau Miraval in Correns, France. The vineyard’s predecessor had been called Pink Floyd -- the band recorded its album “The Wall” in studios on the estate grounds.

“We are intimately involved and quite enthused over the wine project with our friends the Perrin family,” Pitt told Bloomberg through his rep.
The label on the stout bottle will say “Bottled by Jolie-Pitt and Perrin,” Perrin standing for Marc Perrin, a winemaker whose family is well-respected in Europe and with whom Brangelina will equally share the profits.
“If you knew Brad and Angelina, you would see they are in search of perfection in everything,” Perrin said. “We talked a lot and did the first harvest together. They are very demanding in seeking excellence in the quality and character of their wine.”
A line of organic white and red wines is set to be released later this year.
So what does it taste like? Apparently, the winos have revamped the stainless steel tanks the nectar is aged in, which will give the rosé an intensely floral flavor with wild lily aromas and notes of strawberry and raspberry.
Yum and cheers!
