Emmys 2013: Tina Fey’s bronzed beauty
Los Angeles Times fashion critic Booth Moore just listed Tina Fey, clad in a custom blue Narcisco Rodriguez gown, as one of the Emmys’ best dressed Sunday night, and her makeup fell right in line with her look.
Fey’s makeup artist Gita Bass evened out her skin tone using Armani Luminous Silk foundation, and then added a warm glow with Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel bronzing makeup base, which she swept onto Fey’s cheekbones, forehead and temples. For a pop of color on the cheeks, Bass added Chanel Cream blush in Revelation 63.
To create a soft smoky eye, Bass lined Fey’s top and bottom lash lines with MAC Cosmetics eyeliner in Teddy (a bronze shade with gold flecks). She applied Tom Ford Cream Color for Eyes in spice to the lids and blended with a soft brush. Bass then layered Dolce & Gabbana Smooth Eye Color Duo in gold over the top using the lighter gold on the lid, and the darker color in the crease and on the lower lash line. She finished with a few coats of YSL Volume Effect mascara.
To complement the royal blue of Fey’s dress, Bass added a pop of plum with Nars Paris Follies lip gloss.
