‘Star Trek’s’ Zachary Quinto Broadway bound in ‘The Glass Menagerie’
Zachary Quinto is going from sci-fi to the stage.
Producers announced that Quinto, who stars as Spock in the “Star Trek” reboots, in September will make his Broadway debut in Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie.”
The actor, who recently starred in “Angels In America” off-Broadway, will play Tom alongside two-time Tony winner Cherry Jones as fading Southern belle Amanda Wingfield. Tony-winner John Tiffany (“Once”) will direct.

American Repertory Theater’s production has seen success at smaller theaters and will transfer to Broadway for a 17-week run with performances starting Sept. 5. No theater has been announced.
Celia Keenan-Bolger (“Peter and the Starcatcher”) and Brian J. Smith (“The Columnist”) round up the four-person cast.
The Williams masterpiece debuted on the Great White Way in 1945 and was most recently seen in a 2005 production that starred Jessica Lange and Christian Slater.
