Pinterest testing new, faster design
Pinterest announced Monday that it is testing a new design with a small number of users.
The pinboard-based social network, which exploded onto the scene last year, said its new design makes navigating more intuitive “so it’s faster to get to where you want to go.”
A screen shot of the latest design shows a new icon on the top left corner of the site’s layout with a drop down menu that holds several categories and subcategories.

Additionally, Pinterest said pins in the new design are bigger and also show more information.
“For example, on each pin, you’ll see pins from the same board, other boards this pin was pinned to, and a whole slew of related pins,” the company said in a blog post.
Pinterest said it has also made under-the-hood improvements to the site’s speed.
The company said it will expand the new look to more users over the coming weeks. Users interested in checking out the new design can provide Pinterest with their information to get early access.
