Meanwhile, T-Mobile, which had confirmed it would carry the phone but had not announced a date of release, is selling a 32 GB version of the device online for $99 down, plus 24 payments of $20 with zero interest, a total of $579, for “well-qualified” buyers.
Users hoping to pick up the phone in stores from T-Mobile will have to wait until next week. The carrier said it will begin selling the device Wednesday at some of its retail stores.
The HTC One features a 4.7-inch full 1080p HD display, dual speakers and an aluminum case. The phone runs on a powerful quad-core 1.7Ghz processor and has the HTC UltraPixel Camera, which has only about 4-megapixels but is designed to be able to take in more light for higher-quality pictures during low-light situations.
