Former Dodger Todd Zeile connects with a buyer in Westlake Village
Professional baseball player-turned-actor/producer Todd Zeile has sold his home in the North Ranch area of Westlake Village for $1.625 million.
The Tudor-inspired house with brick and half-timbering on the exterior came to market this spring for $1.888 million and was listed for $1.64 million prior to the sale. Records show Zeile bought the property three years ago for $1.405 million.
Built in 1980, the roughly 3,700-square-foot house features beamed ceilings, large picture windows and wood and tile floors throughout. Living areas include a formal living room, a dining room, a den, a country-style kitchen with a breakfast bar, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
There are fireplaces in the living and family rooms as well as in the master retreat.
The backyard includes a large brick patio that surrounds a swimming pool and spa. A lighted tennis court completes the fenced and hedged setting.
Dana Olmes and Jeffery Biebuyck of Ewing Sotheby’s International Realty were the listing agents, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Samantha Kirkpatrick of Century 21 Troop Real Estate represented the buyer.
The 51-year-old Zeile played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets, among others, across 16 seasons in the major leagues. As an actor and producer, he has film credits that include “Dirty Deeds” (2005) and “Zookeeper” (2011).
He was co-executive producer of “Anger Management” from 2012 to 2014.
