The longtime home of late television and film director Arthur Hiller is on the market in Beverly Hills for $14.75 million.
Set amid mature trees on more than an acre, the gated Mediterranean is reached by private drive that ends at a large motor court.
Built in 1970, the two-story house features a wood-paneled entry with a discreet door that opens to a wine cellar. Broad windows at the end of the entry bring in a view of the park-like grounds.
Farther inside, there’s a step-down living room, a den with a wet bar, a formal dining room, chef’s kitchen and prep area. Built-in bookshelves in the den and flank the entrance to a dramatic sun room with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The master suite has an office and his and hers bathrooms and closets for a total of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
Outdoors, lawns and mature trees surround a swimming pool and spa. Elsewhere is a raised patio with a fire pit.

The Canadian-born Hiller, who died in August at 92, began his career in radio and television. Later, he gained fame for film comedies such as “The In-Laws” and “Silver Streak” as well as the 1970 blockbuster “Love Story.”
He served as the president of the Directors Guild of America from 1989 to 1993.
