Comedian Tim Heidecker gets his price and more for Atwater Village home
Tim Heidecker, one-half of the comedy duo Tim & Eric, has sold his home in Atwater Village for $854,000, or $105,000 over the asking price of $749,000.
Tucked behind a vine-wrapped fence, the renovated Spanish-style house retains its 1920s charm with arched windows and built-ins, coved ceilings and vintage hardware. An original Batchelder tile fireplace serves as a centerpiece in the living room area.
An updated kitchen, a dining nook, two bedrooms and one bathroom also lie within nearly 1,100 square feet of white-walled space. A detached garage has been refinished as an office/studio space.
A large cover extends from the house and provides shade for a Saltillo-tiled patio. Raised garden beds and a small patch of lawn sits off the front entrance.
The property came to market in August and sold in just under one month, records show. Heidecker bought the house in 2007 for $662,000.
Tracy Do of Compass was the listing agent. Dunia Handy of Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer.
Heidecker, 40, is a comic, actor, writer and producer. Among his credits is the series “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!,” “Bob’s Burgers” and “Decker.” He has a part in the upcoming coming-of-age drama “Flower.”
