Peter Berg puts his contemporary retreat at Yellowstone Club up for sale
Actor-director-producer Peter Berg of “Friday Night Lights” and “Lone Survivor” fame has put his home at the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Mont., on the market for $6.95 million.
Sweeping forest and mountain views form the backdrop for the wood-paneled contemporary, set on a ridge of more than two acres in the Blue Sky Ridge neighborhood.
Dressed in polished concrete floors and wood paneling, the two-level floor plan centers on a great room lined with raised ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and a two-sided stone fireplace shared by the step-down dining room.
Other spaces include a media room and a chef’s kitchen with a large wood island. There are four bedrooms, a bunkroom and 4.5 bathrooms in 4,748 square feet of space.
Outside, floating steel-and-wood walkways connect the home to a detached two-car garage and an office. A wide entertainer’s deck with a hot tub extends off the lower level.

Berg, 51, is known for his role on the CBS medical drama “Chicago Hope” and also appeared in the films “A Midnight Clear” (1992), “Fire in the Sky” (1993) and “Collateral” (2004). Among his recent projects is the HBO series “Ballers,” for which he is an actor, a director and an executive producer.
According to sources with knowledge of the listing, Berg intends to relocate within the celebrity and mogul-centric winter resort community -- membership in which requires property ownership, a six-figure initial fee and yearly dues.
John Thompson of the Yellowstone Club is the listing agent.
