‘Love’ star Paul Rust falls for a Wallace Neff-designed home in Los Feliz

Paul Rust, star of the Netflix series “Love,” and his wife, writer-producer Lesley Arfin, have bought a gated home in Los Feliz for about $2.2 million.

Originally designed and built in 1935 by architect Wallace Neff, the restored Georgian Colonial is entered through a small courtyard with a fountain. Decorative wrought iron gates swing open to a covered landing.

Inside, some 3,200 square feet of refined space features original moldings, period hardware and hardwood floors. Large bay windows in the living and dining rooms take in the exterior gardens. A mahogany-paneled library, a breakfast area with herringbone-patterned tile and a kitchen are among the other common rooms.

Four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms include a master suite with a marble-lined shower and a vintage clawfoot soaking tub.

Outdoors, a concrete and flagstone patio surrounds the swimming pool and spa. A covered sitting area, drought-tolerant landscaping and specimen fruit trees complete the hedged and fenced setting.

The house came on the market in April for slightly under $2.4 million, records show.

Konstantine Valissarakos of Sotheby’s International Realty was the listing agent. Karen Lower of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage represented the buyers.

Rust, Arfin and Judd Apatow created the romantic comedy “Love,” which debuted on Netflix in February. The show’s second season will debut next year.

The 35-year-old Rust has other credits that include “Arrested Development” and “Comedy Bang! Bang!”

Arfin, 37, has written for “Girls” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
