Having been transferred by L.A. Galaxy to Turkey’s Galatasaray in late August, Nigel de Jong is ready to kick his Encino home to the curb. The midfielder has put the newly built home on the market for $4.3 million — the same price he paid for the property in May.

Tucked behind a white picket fence on a corner lot, the traditional-style home has an East Coast vibe with two-tone siding, dormers and semi-circle windows. A covered porch lends another classic touch to the front of the home.

Inside, some 7,000 square feet of refined interiors has a formal entry that opens to a two-story great room with a centerpiece floor-to-ceiling fireplace. A wine cellar with glass doors sits around the corner.

Other features of note include a home theater, formal living and dining rooms and a marble-topped chef’s kitchen. A private office with walls of built-ins sits behind a sliding barn door.

The master suite has his and hers closets and private terraces for a total of five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.

Sliding glass doors off the main floor open to grounds containing a swimming pool and spa, a poolside cabana and a fire pit. A lighted and fenced sports court sits in the corner of the grounds.

Lucinda Blencowe of Nourmand & Associates holds the listing.

The 31-year-old De Jong is a two-time World Cup starter for the Netherlands national team. He signed with the Galaxy in January for $500,000 with options for the next two seasons, but ultimately appeared in just 18 games for the team prior to his transfer.

He will earn $2.79 million a season from super club Galatasaray.
