Maria Sharapova sells Manhattan Beach home off-market for $5.25 million
Professional tennis player Maria Sharapova, currently the third-ranked women’s player in the world, has sold her home in Manhattan Beach in an off-market deal for $5.25 million.
Sharapova, who owns other property in the area, bought the house in 2005 for $3.735 million, public records show.

Found about two blocks from the Manhattan Beach Strand, the three-story contemporary-style home features walls of tempered glass windows, steel beams and a rooftop patio with ocean views.
There are four bedrooms and five bathrooms within 3,750 square feet of living space, according to public records. A two-car garage sits off the rear of the home.
A former Women’s Tennis Assn. No.1-ranked singles layer, Sharapova has won five Grand Slam titles, including the French Open last year. The 27-year-old earned a silver medal for Russia at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
She is taking part in the BNP Paribas WTA Finals in Singapore, where she was pooled with top-seeded Simona Halep and Flavia Pennetta in the Red Group.
