Former NFL wideout Keyshawn Johnson sheds some acreage near Calabasas
Retired football star turned NFL analyst Keyshawn Johnson has sold a residential lot in the Santa Monica Mountains for $1.2 million.
Set within Abercrombie Ranch Estates, a gated community found between Calabasas and Monte Nido, the narrow property sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and measures about 12 acres. Views from the site take in the surrounding mountains, treetops and canyon.
Johnson bought the parcel a year ago for $900,000, property records show. He had been asking $1.25 million for the lot.
Marc and Rory Shevin of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties were the listing agents. Jacqueline Brooks of Brooks Realty represented the buyer.
Johnson, 43, was a standout at USC and, before that, at Los Angeles’ Susan Miller Dorsey High. Drafted first overall in 1996, the wide receiver played 11 seasons for the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers, making three Pro Bowl teams
More recently, he has worked as a studio analyst for ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown.”
Johnson previously made headlines two years ago when he sold his Calabasas home to television personality Kourtney Kardashian for $7.45 million. More than a decade earlier, he sold another Calabasas property to former NBA player Mitch Richmond.
He maintains other property in Los Angeles County.
