Former Angel Jim Edmonds and his ‘Real Housewife’ list their Newport home
Retired professional baseball player Jim Edmonds and his wife, reality television personality Meghan King Edmonds, have put their home in Newport Beach up for sale at $3.4 million after less than a year of ownership.
The couple bought the property in the Newport Heights neighborhood 11 months ago for $2.79 million and have paid great attention to the interiors. Subdued hues, modern accessories and dark wood floors give the Tuscan-style house a cool, contemporary vibe.
A chef’s kitchen has been reimagined with subway tile, slab Quartz countertops and a wine fridge. In a clever use of space, a U-shaped island incorporates booth-style dining area.
Formal living and dining rooms, a great room, five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms also lie within the 5,077 square feet of interiors. A sliding barn door, a fireplace and a new-look bathroom highlight a posh master suite.
French doors off the main floor open to a hedged patio and sitting area. A three-car garage sits off the rear of the home.
Tim Smith of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage holds the listing.
Edmonds made four All-Star teams in 17 major league seasons with the Angels and St. Louis Cardinals, among others. He finished his career with eight Gold Glove awards and one World Series title.
The 46-year-old works as an analyst for Fox Sports Midwest.
King Edmonds, 31, joined “The Real Housewives of Orange County” last year. She also appeared on the TLC series “Say Yes to the Dress.”
