Beverly Crest home once owned by Kenny G and Pete Sampras fetches $5.25 million
A Beverly Crest-area home with a cast of characters in its history has sold for $5.25 million.
Property records for the one-plus-acre estate read like a who’s who of stars. “Man of Steel” and “Batman” producer Jon Peters bought the home more than a decade ago from tennis great Pete Sampras. Sampras, in turn, purchased the house in 1998 from saxophonist Kenny G for $2.5 million.
Actress Kate Jackson of “Charlie’s Angels” fame and television producer-director Asher William separately owned the house at one time.
Built in 1976, the estate centers on a remodeled traditional-style home with 5,706 square feet of living space. The two-story house has vaulted and beamed ceilings, hardwood floors, a great room and a kitchen that opens to a family room with a wet bar. There are five bedrooms and six bathrooms in all.
Outdoors, the lush setting includes a tennis court custom-designed for Sampras. A guest house, a swimming pool, lawns and mature trees fill out the grounds.
The house had been listed last year for as much as $6.795 million, records show. More recently it was offered for $5.475 million.
Judy Feder of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, and Steve Frankel of Coldwell Banker shared the listing. Susan Smith, also of Hilton & Hyland, represented the buyer.
