‘Reckless’ actor Cam Gigandet gives up Venice contemporary with rooftop deck
Cam Gigandet of the 2014 crime drama “Reckless” has sold a place in Venice for $2.47 million.
The two-story contemporary, built in 1950, is topped by a roof-top deck that takes in the cityscape and the ocean breezes.
The walled and gated home, near shopping and restaurants, features high ceilings, cherry wood floors and finishes including marble and granite. Some 3,000 square feet of living space includes a great room that opens to a garden and a kitchen with a center island as well as four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The actor and family man, who gained fame a decade ago on “The O.C.,” had purchased the property three years earlier for $1.9 million. He and his fiancée, actress Dominique Geisendorff, are expecting their third child, People recently reported.
Gigandet, 32, will star in this year’s thriller “Broken Vows.” His other feature film work includes “Twilight” (2008), “Easy A” (2010) and “Priest” (2011).
David Kirk Fowler and Denise Fast of Re/Max Estate Properties were the listing agents. Emily Bregman of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties represented the buyer.
