Billy Bob Thornton is ready to calls it quits in his modern home in Malibu
Billy Bob Thornton is through with the breeze in Malibu. The three-time Academy Award-nominated actor has put his abode in the coastal city up for sale at $2.3 million. That’s $50,000 less than what he bought it for in 2007, records show.
Built in 2002, the two-story contemporary lies about two miles from the coast on a roughly one-third-acre lot.
The 2,670 square feet of white-walled interior has plenty of character, including powder blue-hued kitchen cabinetry and thick beams. Walls of windows take in canyon and mountain views.
The open floor plan consists of a living room with a fireplace, a dining area and kitchen. Terraces extend from the main floor and master suite, which also offers a mosaic tile-filled bathroom. In total, there are four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Daniel Dill of Westside Estate Agency holds the listing.
The 62-year-old Thornton won an Academy Award for his 1996 indie film “Sling Blade,” which he directed, wrote and starred. More recently, he’s appeared in “Eagle Eye” (2008), “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” (2016) and the first season of the FX series “Fargo.”
