Former Nicolas Cage-owned acreage sells in Malibu
Nicolas Cage, besides being one of the busiest actors in film, also famously blazed a trail losing properties across the country during his financial-woes period.
One in Malibu that recently resold for $6.3 million centers on a 1,080-square-foot bungalow that sits on 320 acres not far from Pacific Coast Highway. The three-parcel property has views of the mountains, ocean and nearby islands.
Other features include four seasonal waterfalls, lakes, an octagonal indoor garden, a caretaker’s residence, a guesthouse and horse trails.
Cage bought the property in 2000 for $10.3 million.
Kathleen Doyle of Kathy Doyle Estates was the listing agent. Michael Cunningham of Pritchett-Rapf & Associates represented the buyer.
