A man who said drug use led him to kill a drive-in movie cashier was put to death by injection in Huntsville, Tex., after helping executioners find veins in his needle-scarred arms. Randy Woolls, 36, a construction worker from Median, Tex., was executed for the 1979 murder after an emotional exchange with an aunt and cousin in the death chamber. Woolls reportedly said prominent veins in his arms had collapsed long ago from drug use. Executioners’ needles were inserted into his arm near tattoos of a buzzard grasping a syringe and of the Grim Reaper.
