“London Has Fallen,” the critically panned sequel to “Olympus Has Fallen,” won the weekend at the Chinese box office, taking in $24.4 million in its first three days in theaters.

But the Millennium Films thriller starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman came in second overall for the full week ending Sunday as the domestic caper “Chongqing Hot Pot” took in $26.4 million over that period, according to film industry consulting firm Artisan Gateway.

The local production “My Beloved Bodyguard” earned $19.5 million for the week, good enough for third place, while Disney’s “Zootopia” hung on in the fourth spot.

“Zootopia” has become Disney’s top-grossing film ever in China, with $231 million in receipts, and has claimed the title of best-selling animated film in Chinese history.

Warner Bros.’ “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” eked out an additional $8.4 million, bringing its Chinese take to $93.8 million, Artisan said.
