Marathon route

The marathon route starts runners at Dodger Stadium and finishes 26.2 miles later at the intersection of Ocean Ave. and California Ave. in Santa Monica. 22 aid stations along the route will keep participants hydrated and medical vans will be placed at miles 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24.

How hot will it be on Sunday?

Despite efforts to reschedule the marathon’s start time, temperatures are expected to be in the 80s on Saturday for the Olympic trials and again on Sunday for the traditional marathon – both unseasonably warm.

According to data from the 2015 marathon, more men finish the race before 1 p.m. Here's a look at the number of men and women runners who finished during specified time windows. Race start times for runners ranged from 6:34 to 6:55 a.m.
